Intro Today is day 6 I’m already a fifth of the way done with advent! Yesterday’s puzzle was a noticeable step up in difficultiy so I’m hoping day 6 might be a little simpler. I’m traveling today so I don’t have as much time to hack before work! The Puzzle Today the elves have given me a communicator but sadly it doesn’t quite work. I can detect a broadcast signal, a long string, but I need to find a packet marking the beginning of a message: that packet is any 4 distinct characters in a row inside of the signal string.

Intro Day 5 and I’m about to reach the the 20% mark! So far things have been going pretty well, nothing too complex let’s see what Today’s challenge will be! The Puzzle The elves have a several stacks of crates but need to re-order them so that the crates with the most important items are on the top for easy access. Thankfully we’ve been given the list of rearrangements the crane is going to do and our task to calculate which crates will be where after completing all the movements.

Intro Another day closer to Christmas, another coding Advent of code puzzle! Bring on day 4! The Puzzle This time I’m going to be helping the elves clean up areas of their camp. Each elf has been given sections of the camp to clean up which is given as a range: 1-3 for example tells the elf to clean up sections 1,2 and 3. However there seems to have been a mistake and the elves have been assigned overlapping sections of the camp to tidy up!
